Summit News – Upcoming Events

Serve the Lord with gladness!
Dear Summit Church Texas family,
Fall is my favorite time of year. We have two important church-wide events coming up, the Fall Festival and this year we will be doing Christmas at the Summit also. Both of these are important and large events. They will require church-wide participation. Please sign up to help in the church foyer at the Connection table. We also need everyone to start bringing candy for the Fall Festival. We need lots of candy! You can bring it with you to church or the church office. We are continuing to have visitors on both Sundays and Wednesdays. Let’s all work extra hard to meet them and ensure they feel welcome! I am excited to be your lead pastor and Barbara and I love you all!

Join us for Family Night!
Make sure that you and your family are not missing this opportunity to fellowship together and grow spiritually. There is a nursery for infants and Awanas for all children and youth.
FAMILY MEAL FOR ALL – NO CHARGE AT 5:45 P.M.
DYNAMIC CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES AT 6:30 P.M.
Pastor Orman Gwynn will be teaching on Biblical Conflict Management for the next few weeks.
Pastor Pat Bullock will be continuing his series on Beginning of All Things Found in Genesis.
Tyler Fox will be leading Exciting Mini Studies on RELEVANT topics paired with videos and/or discussions geared for young adults, but everyone is welcome.

Volunteers needed for October 25th and 26th – Rummage Sale and Fall Festival Work Day
We have time to get more items donated and organized. If you have anything you would like to donate, bring it to the church. Contact Mark DeLuna at 361-400-8118 if you need help getting any big items to church. We need some people willing to come help us work to get stuff ready that week. Friday evening at 6 pm we will be putting items on tables and getting things organized for Saturday morning. Saturday morning people start coming to the rummage sale at 7 am, so we need some people to help put the tables out and move items outside at 6 a.m. We also need people to help during the rummage sale.
We also need to set up the booths for the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 26th. The Fall Festival will be October 31st, and is a great way to meet people from our community and reach out to them. Help us get ready for it!

Faithful Giving Allows Us to Carry Out Our God-sized Vision
Your faithful giving allows Summit Church to advance the kingdom of God. Our weekly budget needs are around $10,000 per week, and we are averaging about $8,000 per week. This means we need to increase our giving some. I appreciate anything you can do to help us have the funds needed! You can give your offerings during a worship service or you can take advantage of several other ways to be faithful in your giving of tithes and offerings to the church. Online giving is now available in the church office after each service. You can use a debit or credit card. You can also give online at www.summitchurchtexas.com or mail your offerings to the church at the address below. Remember, you can never out-give God!
I am looking forward to seeing you at Family Night and church on Sunday!

Because He lives,
Pastor Terry Fox
